Ordering a Signed Copy
I am always delighted to sign copies of Marcel’s Letters — especially when I know the book is being given as a gift. If you are looking for a gift for a design school graduate, or a family member who has an interest in typography, genealogy, World War II or French history, I invite you to contact me via email at carolyn (at) porterfolioinc (dot) com. Signed/gift wrapped/mailed copies are $26 (US only).
I will need the following information:
1. Name of the person I should sign the book to (please double check spelling if you are unsure).
2. Guidance on a personalized message. Some people have requested inscriptions such as “Happy Father’s Day” or “For A Fellow Letter Lover” or “Good luck on your genealogy search” or “Follow your creative curiosity!” I don’t require you to provide a word-for-word inscription, but I like to personalize what I write, where possible.
3. Mailing address for recipient. If the book is being mailed as a gift, I can include an additional note on who the gift is from.
4. Credit card information* (including credit card number, expiration date, name on card, and security code). If you prefer to pay by check, I will wait until the check arrives to sign and mail the book; send me an email and I can send you information on where to mail the check. *For security reasons, if you do not want to transmit credit card information to me via email, send me an email and we can arrange a phone call to exchange this information.
Books will be gift-wrapped, unless otherwise requested.
Books will be mailed USPS Media Mail.
Do you want a signed bookplate? (A bookplate is an adhesive-backed sticker you can adhere to a book you bought elsewhere). Send me an email with information on the first three questions above and I’ll mail a signed book plate to you at no charge!
