Year Book of Type 2

Year-Book-Of-Type-sm

I was thrilled to get a package from Germany today. Inside was a hard-bound copy of “Year Book of Type 2,” edited by Slanted. I was even more thrilled to see P22 Marcel included in their curated collection, appearing alongside work by type designers I admire.

The book’s introduction says: “The second edition of the Yearbook of Type offers a high-quality selection of numerous recently published digital typefaces in the form of a clear, comprehensive compendium of great practical value. The emotional and informative presentation of these typefaces will serve designers and agencies as a source of inspiration and will help others select the desired typeface.”

Slanted magazine grew out of the Slanted.de weblog, which focused on typography and design. Founded in 2004 it has grown into one of the most important design portals and discussion forums in the German-speaking area. It informs its readers about international design trends and day-by-day events in numerous categories and is always in tune with the zeitgeist of design and typography.
